Role Summary
The Programme Development Coordinator will contribute to the growth and stability of the Lebanon programme by leading the designing and development of new programme interventions and overall grant management. He/She will provide leadership, strategic direction and management of the crosscutting functions of MEAL, Programme Funding, Partnerships, Information Management and Communications.
Project Overview
The Lebanon programme is a fast-paced programme in an evolving context, involved in emergency response to the recent conflict, the Syrian refugee crisis and the impact of the deteriorating economic and humanitarian crisis across the country on Lebanese. Medair has projects in Health, Mental Health & Psychosocial Support, Shelter, Basic Assistance and GIS Mapping, working in governorates across the country.

Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Lebanon programme as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Design and review programme interventions, and develop quality concept notes and project proposals, based on solid context and needs assessment/analysis
• Actively develop partnerships with local and international actors that strategically add value to the programmes; oversee the partnership portfolio with a relational and accountable approach.
• Oversee, manage and develop capacity in the cross-cutting functions – MEAL, Programme Funding, IM/IT, Communications and Partnerships, ensuring they support quality programme delivery.
• Ensure cross-cutting elements (e.g. gender, conflict sensitivity, protection, PSEA and the environment) are mainstreamed into Medair’s work, including the incorporated of AAP.
• Ensure a focus on evidence-based learning, quality and impact across Medair’s programme.
• Ensure smooth and efficient documentation, filing and information management systems (i.e grant files, donor guidelines, and resources)
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:
• A degree in development or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience of working in programs or grants departments in a management role in complex humanitarian context
• Proven experience in designing, coordinating, and writing high value proposals and donor reports to key institutional donors such as PRM, BHA, ECHO and UNHCR).
• Experience working in a cross-cultural setting, preferable in a support role.
• Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
